The eternal reality of 'God's time' moves us utterly beyond any localisation or inculturation, and transcends chronological time or any specific place. Because the liturgical year makes the timeless events of our salvation a present reality, God's revelation has to be incarnate at a particular time in a particular place

The Church assembles for Eucharist on Sunday to celebrate something profound and fundamental – the paschal mystery: the incarnation, life, death, resurrection and ascension of Christ. Special days or events should not determine the character of the celebration like official feasts, but should be added into prayers so as not to overshadow the liturgy.
