To enrich and renew the celebration of the sacrament of Penance, a form of celebration is needed which involves the gathering of the assembly of the Church, a celebration of God's word, the presidency of the ordained minister and the celebration of conversion and God's forgiveness.
Penance is a sacrament of healing which allows a deeper immersion into the mission and the grace of God, and has an irreplaceable role in the work of reconciliation and forgiveness.
Eurcharistic Prayers focus on the conversion of the heart by remembering God's gift of saving mercy for all humanity. They invite us to be stop being judgemental, and to move beyond any unyielding ideals to find mercy and forgiveness.
